Prominent Neurosurgeon Abducted in Nnewi, Anambra
Nnewi, Anambra – Fear has gripped the medical community in Anambra State following the abduction of a consultant neurosurgeon, identified as Dr. Mbanugo T., in Uruagu Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area.

NMA Confirms Incident, Calls for Prayers
A top official of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) in Anambra State, speaking anonymously to journalists on Friday, confirmed the distressing news.
The official emphasized that relevant government and security agencies have been notified and are actively tracking the kidnappers.

Police Launch Full-Scale Manhunt
The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed the incident and assured the public of an intensive effort to secure the doctor’s release.
SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Command’s spokesperson, confirmed that the police received the report and immediately acted.
