AAC Candidate Chioma Ifemeludike Launches Door-to-Door Campaign for Anambra Governorship

AWKA, ANAMBRA STATE — Chioma Ifemeludike, the African Action Congress (AAC) candidate and the only female contender in the November 8, 2025 Anambra State governorship election, has launched an intensive door-to-door and street-to-street campaign across the state.

Ifemeludike is centering her campaign on promises of “positive change, good governance, qualitative education, and robust security” for the people of Anambra.

The campaign rally, which commenced in Awka North and Awka South Local Government Areas (LGAs) and the Amawbia axis over the weekend, culminated at the Government House in Agu Awka. Despite early morning rain, the event saw a large turnout of AAC supporters showing solidarity for the candidate.

Speaking to journalists at the popular Aroma Junction in Awka, Ifemeludike stated that the grassroots effort was designed to energize the party’s base and present her as the only viable alternative for the state’s future.

“This rally is to remind the people that they cannot continue to remain with the current slow, nepotic, inept, and incompetent leadership,” Ifemeludike asserted, referring to the administration of the past three and a half years. “If we continue in this kind of leadership, we will not have the kind of future we want for our children.”

The candidate outlined her core priorities, which include:

Adequate Security: To ensure the safety of all citizens.

Qualitative Education: To reform the educational sector.

Strengthening Justice: To enhance equity, equality, fairness, and the state’s justice system.

She described the rally as a “call to action for all who believe in our platform of economic growth, security, and education.”

Ifemeludike expressed confidence in her victory on November 8, further pledging to build hospitals and schools of international standard across all 179 communities in the state if elected governor.
