Delta North lawmaker, Prince Ned Nwoko, has inaugurated a newly finished modern mini stadium in Issele-Uku, characterising the project as an emblem of collective advancement in the locality.
In comments shared on X on Tuesday, Nwoko said the stadium was intended to motivate youths, foster healthy competition, and reinforce community spirit.
“This project was envisioned to inspire our youths, encourage healthy competition, and bolster community spirit,” he said. The venue features a regulation football pitch, a seven-a-side multi-sports field, pavilions on both sides, and fully-fitted dressing rooms, providing a supportive setting for sports and recreation.
“For me, every project is about influence, about granting our people access to amenities that uplift, strengthen, and bring together.
“With this stadium, we are cultivating the next generation of athletes and leaders who will make Delta North honoured,” Nwoko concluded. He also reiterated his commitment to community betterment, saying, “Our journey of transformation persists, one community at a time.”
PUNCH Online had reported that Ned Nwoko advocated for the establishment, development and management of ranches across all 774 local government areas and the Federal Capital Territory to improve food security across the country.
He said that the proposal is ‘’A Bill for an Act to Provide for the Establishment, Development, and Management of Ranches in the 774 Local Government Areas and the Federal Capital Territory, to Promote Modern Livestock Farming, Restrict Open Grazing, Enhance Food Security, and for Related Matters’.
